The final race has been sailed in front of the crowds at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. Argentinian sailor Ignacio "Nacho" Rogala, who took third in the last Optimist Worlds in Brasil, had already won the Junior Gold Cup going into today's race... which he won. An astonishing 59 points separates him from second place finisher, local boy Owen Siese. Ignacio's scores across the 13 races are 1, 2, 1, 1, 10 (discard), 1, 14 (discard), 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

The race today was for second place, with Owen sailing into 19th place and Axel Munkby sailing into 21st, both of them discarded today's results which kept Owen 5 points ahead for second place.

Congratulations to all the sailors for a well sailed series, and thanks to Renaissance Reinsurance for it's sponsorship of this world class event.
